To get the most out of Planyard’s estimating features, set up key company settings first. This ensures your quotes are consistent, accurate, and tailored to your workflow.
- Go to Company settings.
- Open the Estimation settings tab.
From here, you can configure the following:
1. Manage pipeline stages
Define and order the stages in your estimation workflow:
- Add new stages
- Reorder existing stages
- Edit stage names
- Delete unused stages
2. Set default client quote terms
- Client quote terms – Pre-fill terms included in every quote
- Client quote default expire days – Set how long quotes remain valid
- Default VAT – Apply a consistent tax rate to all estimates
3. Estimate with material breakdown
Enable this to break down each estimate line item by materials, labor, machinery, and subcontractor costs.
4. Estimate contingency
Enable this to add a contingency percentage to your estimates, similar to a wastage allowance.
Note: These settings apply across your entire company account, ensuring consistency across all projects.
